OK. So this is the Chef'n Emulstir, Emulsifier and Salad Dressing Maker, from Arugula. It should do a credible job
at making salad dressing -- or so say many other reviewers
of this item. However, I was looking high and low for a
MILK emulsifier -- an item I had seen elsewhere, long ago,
and actually bought! It turns butter and milk into cream,
and though it does take some energy to work, it DOES work!
I lost it long ago....but recently got to thinking: if it
turns milk and butter into cream -- would it not turn milk
made with non-fat dry milk powder, (and butter), into good
tasting WHOLE milk? Well, I couldn't find the milk-emuls-
ifier I was looking for, (and am STILL looking for) -- but
I did find this Chef'n Emulstir, which mentions that it is
not just a "salad dressing maker", but also an "emulsifi-
er!" It LOOKED somewhat like the milk-emulsifier I had
bought and sadly lost.......so, I tried it!
Nope. Didn't work at all on liquid dry milk and butter.
Diddn't mix them at all. Of course, this item's manufactu-
er NEVER CLAIMED it was a milk-emulsifier, so I really
shouldn't complain. Still, I'm naturally more than a bit
disappointed.
And I'm still looking, everywhere, for the milk-emulsifier!
It will give me SO much independence, not having to run out
for milk all the time -- and probably save money, as well.
I haven't found it yet on Amazon, or anywhere else. But
I will keep looking.
And yes, I'll use this for a salad-dressing maker, should I
ever want to make any salad dressing. In the meantime, it
makes a nice little vase for flowers....
