Customer Review: Not very accurate, but good enough to avert disaster

Like some of the other reviewers, I also have kids; and after losing a heartbreaking amount of food to open doors, I decided I had to have some sort of alarms. I have two freezers in the garage, so I figured I had to give these a try in spite of the negative reviews.
The sensors are not very accurate. I have THREE refrigerator/freezer thermometers that I use to monitor my fridges and freezers. All of them agree my freezers are running at zero degrees. Both remote sensors register +10 degrees. A couple of times, already, the alarms have gone off when I went into the freezers for more than a couple of seconds.
On the other hand, the range is good. My freezers are in the garage and the receiver is about 40' and 2 walls away.
If you want accurate readings, move on. If all you want is to avert disaster, these work at a reasonable price.
