Love Calphalon and have used this almost every day since its arrival. Can use fat/butter to oil pan, but food stays up on the grid lines. Not five stars because not quite as heavy and solid as some of my other Calphalon. On the other hand, it does a fine job and is easy to lift. Good for recipes where you brown food and then finish in the oven. Lovely grid marks if you remember to rotate food 90 degrees after a few minutes. (4 1/2???) Is my indoor grill obsolete?Customer Review: Best in Class

This is very good product at an exceptional price. The thing that bothers me though is that it often seems to fry the foods at the ridges instead of grill. In turn, there is an appearance of grilling but a fried texture. This may be due to the width of the ridges and the non-stick coating. However, I think this is common to all makes of these pans. Face it, nothing beats a true grill. Nice to have this when it is raining or just too cold to fire up the BBQ.Customer Review: very good

The square surface has plenty of room for steaks, burgers etc. I love the grill surface, now I can have grill marks on my meat. Do not use cooking spray in the can only oil and cook on low and you have no splatters because I think it is the high sides. It is so easy to clean, just wash in warm soapy water comes right off. It is kinda heavy, which I like. It maybe on the expensive side but it is worth it, I love it and highly recommend it.Customer Review: So far, excellent

Could not be more pleased. Cooks well and cleans up with ease. Burned cheese came right off after a brief soaking. I've used the grill pan for burgers, steaks, chicken breasts and all have been great. The real test, however, will be how long the nonstick suface lasts. I paid $10 more for the pan from the "One" line rather than the "Contemporary" line for the better nonstick. The Calphalon One Nonstick 11-inch Square Grill Pan has revolutionized my cooking because it has enabled me to grill anything I want, any time I want, indoors. It cooks well and evenly at high heat, searing the outside of the meat while preserving the juices. The nonstick surface offers very easy cleanup. The square size gives me more surface area than a round pan, yet fits easily on my stove. This is a great product.
