Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Calphalon Nylon Small SpatulaCustomer Review: Versatile, durable, and comfortable Summary: 5 Stars
I recently purchased this Calphalon Nylon Small Spatula along with all the other matching cooking utensils from Calphalon. I like the versatility in nylon utensils as I can use them on both my nonstick and stainless steal pans without worrying about whether they will scratch anything or not. Unlike my cheap plastic utensils that these replaced the Calphalon ones are heat resistant to 400 degrees. My old cheap plastic ones had burn marks up and down the handles as I used to rest them on the edge of the pan. Prior to buying these, I didn't realize that they made melt-proof nylon. It's nice to know that I'll no longer have the problem of unsightly utensils as the Calphalon nylon ones are strong and durable. I purchased a utensil holder, so now my Calphalon utensils are on display in my kitchen. Along with all their other finer qualities, these utensils are comfortable to use. The thumb guard and finger grip on the handle makes them easy to hold. The solid black color makes them go with most any decor. These will make a nice addition to any kitchen.
Description of Calphalon Nylon Small SpatulaUnlike standard plastic spatulas, this sturdy black nylon spatula from Calphalon won't melt if you leave it leaning against a hot skillet (up to 400 degrees, that is). And so it doesn't slide into your stir-fried broccoli and tofu, there's a little notch on the back of the handle that will anchor the spatula to your pan. The rounded spatula head is the perfect size for flipping a fried egg or for removing chocolate chip cookies from a cookie sheet. The straight edge is slightly angled so you can smoothly slide the spatula under your food. With a hole in the handle, the spatula comes ready to be hung from an overhead rack. When you're finished cooking, just toss it in the dishwasher to clean it. --Dana Van Nest
