Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Calphalon JR8782-2P Contemporary Nonstick 2-1/2-Quart Shallow Saucepan with LidCustomer Review: Our most used pot! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this pot almost two years ago, my husband and I were engaged at the time and moving into a new apartment and needed pots! We bought this pot, and at the time it came in a set with a Calphalon Contemporary Chef's Knife and a nice large plastic spoon. Probably one of the very best purchases I've made in my life! We use this pot on an almost daily basis, it works wonderfully. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Customer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my favorite saucepan! All of my pans are Calphalon, but some are hard-anodized and I found that the non-stick is much better, so I am going to stick to the non-stick. Ha Ha. I have another 2-1/2 quart hard-anodized saucepan and this one is bigger, which makes it a true 2-1/2 quart pan. I love the extra room it provides and the curved design. The see-through lid is nice also. It's a winner!
Customer Review: calphalon 2 1/2 qt contemporay sauce pan Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great pan. Everyone needs a non-stick sauce pan and the shape of this one makes it perfect for many jobs. It's well made, not too heavy to handle and the glass lid lets you observe your work. The pan flares out near the rim, so for smaller jobs the ingredients are concentrated at the bottom. The flared out area makes it easier to get a spoon or spatula in there to work the sauce.
Customer Review: Great pan! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a terrific pan--- nonstick is very good, easy to clean, looks good, comes with see-through lid-! I have had it for 1-2 years and the nonstick is still 100% in effect.
I use it for pasta, scrambled eggs, making sauces, heating soups, sauteing, and even browning meats.
I can't think of one thing that I do not like about this pan (besides I own only 1!).
Customer Review: Buy. You won't be sorry Summary: 5 Stars
Bought several of these pans two years ago to give to our daughters as gifts after having bought one and liked it so well ourselves. They have told us how well they like them. Still have a spare to use, when and if we ever need it. Some buyers have complained about staining. I have been successful removing stains by scrubbing with a paste made of baking soda and water.
