This handsome series of cookware is fantastic. I am so happy to have it.
pros:
-Even heat distribution and retention.
-No need to worry about scratching the interior surface with metal whisks and spatulas.
-No toxic nonstick coatings.
-The handles never get hot! The y-shaped handle base prevents most heat from being conducted from the pot into the handle. It's amazing.
-If the pan is preheated for a minute, the surface is practically nonstick for most foods.
-The metal lids will not break.
-Handles are riveted (not screwed) to the pans which makes them feel sturdy and prevents them from getting loose over time.
cons:
-Sometimes I really do wish I could put them in the dishwasher.
-Calphalon suggests not nesting the pans for storage. So unless you hang them, they take up quite a bit of cabinet or drawer space.
-It's almost impossible to keep eggs from sticking.

I own a set of Calphalon One cookware; love it, but it's TERRIBLY expensive, and a rather small set. This set is second to Calphalon One. It's hard anodized, which I prefer hands down over the treated non-stick surface lines (even Calphalon's). I am a traditional cook, so I really use my cookware. It performs well, and cleans well.
The handles are not as heavy as the C-One line, but they are fully metal so you can use them in the oven. The pans themselves are not quite as heavy gauge as C-One, but absolutely acceptable.
The small 2 handled dutch oven will make one of the meanest port wine beef roasts you will ever have!
For the cook who knows what she wants, the product description is helpful. Clearly identifying the product as hard anodized helped. Although I would have liked a comparison between the C-One line and this one, detailing the differences in gauge and handles, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

First, I would like to say to watch the price of these after you buy them - the price varies a lot and you might be able to improve your deal with a refund. Anyway, these are great! They conduct heat much better than any other pot/pan I have used. There is some adjustment if you are used to Teflon - they do stick a bit more. With that said, they don't give you cancer as many now suspect Teflon does, they are oven safe, and you can use metal utensils. A scotch-brite pad is safe to use (according to manufacturer's instructions) and will restore the pans to their new condition with little effort. There are some other tips for minimizing stick included in the instructions. Machine washing is not recommended. Also, remember that since the tops for these pans are metal, they may get very hot and require a potholder for removal. The handles on the pans themselves, however, generally stay cool enough to touch.Customer Review: This is a terrible set!

Don't buy it - this is a terrible set! Amazon being a reputable seller should remove it from the site.
I read very mixed reviews before buying this set but still decided to go ahead because I owned another piece of Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized cookware. The pan that I had was also made in China and worked great for me - so I didn't mind the origin. Probably at least a half of the things we have in a typical household have been produced in China anyways.
So this is not about the country of origin - this is about the quality of the product. Everything people say here about food sticking to the pan is completely true! Cleaning these pans is almost impossible! No, I didn't expect them to behave like non-sticks do but I didn't expect everything to stick regardless of the amount of butter/oil I put.
I'm returning this set and will continue my search for a good set of cookware.

They look nice and the price is good. I read a lot of reviews on these before I bought them. A lot of people said everything sticks to them ... but then there were a lot of people that said that those people don't know how to cook with the pots and pans and led into instructions on how to cook properly with them. So I bought them because I thought I could cook properly with them and EVERYTHING STICKS TO THEM. In the month I have used these I have followed all the directions: I cook everything on low (surprisingly food does cook fast on low with these) and hand wash them with soft sponges. Yet everything still sticks to these. Oh and there really isn't any lids in the set that fit the pans ... usually the lids are universal in sets like these to fit the pots and pans ... not this set. But they do work and it is a fairly inexpensive set. They look nice and they clean pretty easily.
