Bought it on gold box special a while back for the wife. Finally had the right size dinner to put it to use -- soup for 9 adults. I read some previous reviews & was worried about the pot leaking from the rivets. Pot worked as expected, & is really easy to clean. The thickness does feel a tad thinner than the older calphalon pots & pans, but the price is great. If you realize ahead of time that you are getting a slightly thinner calphalon that is made in China (which I usually am very weary of...), you should not be disappointed with the quality. If you are expecting super-heavy, made-in-USA, calphalon at these prices... you may be disappointed.Customer Review: The best cookware in the world.

This cookware is a marvel. I make a sticky, creamy soup in it and left the remains over night in the pan. It rinsed out the next day. RINSED. Amazing. This cookware you will pass down the generations to your children, grandchildren. I told my daughter to come get my special Club Aluminium and I would will the Calphalon to her when I die. I will die a happy cook because I love this stuff. It is so remarkable in size you only need about three pieces. Would have loved the ten piece set when I was 30 and really into cooking. But thanks to Amazon I got some I could afford. No dishwasher, just rinse in soapy water. It's incredible.Customer Review: Excellent Soup Pot - Regular "Friday Sale" Item

This is a great soup pot - cooks evenly, and the lid fits nicely and lets you either close it tightly or let steam escape. I make chicken soup that I let simmer overnight, and I never worry about it burning or boiling out. It also cleans nicely.
This item frequently shows up in the Friday sale, and at that price, it's a steal. I've bought them as gifts. If you know people who wouldn't think it was weird to get a pot as a holiday gift, keep an eye out at the Friday sales and buy this. You will likely be told that it's your giftee's favorite pot. And they'll also think you spent more than you did.

I have also been a Calphalon fan since they started hitting the market, and been using them for some time now,So far There havent been an issue or given me a failure as to how I've used them of course. Well comparing these Import to our real Toledo,Ohio Version. A very conclusive remark, First the thickness of the pan and its performance. These Chinese made have thinner ply construction and sure will not outlast our made,There performance is great but not as tough good when youre putting them to a constant use.
I give them a rate of 4 stars for there price made quality, after all you get what you paid for.

Hi yal, This was my first experience with amazon. The product is NOT what it says it is. Whether it is a knockoff or just not commercial grade, it's not what i expected. I am willing to see if the exchange will be what they advertise, though. To give the benefit of the doubt. Interesting, several days after I placed the original order, I shared with a friend what I had found. And she had informed me that her experience with amazon ie ebay, you don't always get what is being pictured and advertised. So we'll wait and see what the exchange product is like and let you know.
