I bought this in the Friday sale and I am very disappointed that I DID NOT BUY ANOTHER ONE. This saucepot is well worth the price! You just can't beat the quality of Calphalon.

This 6-1/2-quart saucepot has a domed glass lid so users can monitor the cooking without releasing heat. The lid is oven-safe to 450 degrees F, ensuring the pot can not only be used atop a stove for pasta sauces, soups, and chili but in the oven for braising. The exterior of Calphalon's Commercial Stainless cookware is made of heavy-gauge, matte-finish aluminum anodized for hardness so it won't chip, crack, or peel; the material also ensures fast, uniform heat distribution. The interior is 18/10 stainless steel with a bright satin finish to conceal inevitable utensil marks. This pot's satin-finish, cast-stainless-steel loop handles are multiriveted for durability, resist heating on the stovetop, and are large enough to accommodate oven mitts.
