The day this arrived, I prepared a casserole in it, the next day, pasta, the next, spaghetti sauce, the next, soup.... do you sense a trend here? It truly is an all purpose pot. Just remember to use non-metal utensils and keep the heat lower than you would on a Calphalon professional pan. If you have something burnt on or stuck on that you just can't get off, use a little baking soda and warm H2O and let it set overnight. The problem will literally soak right off. i am a recent convert to calphalon cookware. earlier i cudnt ever figure out why i needed to spend $30 on one piece of cookware alone.
but use calphalon once and u can never go back.
the calphalon commercial line is awesome. the pan has weight to it it is hard anodized on the exterior and has a nonstick interior coating. the pan heats up really fast and i have seen that it retains heat amazingly well.
i have a ceramic cooktop it sits perfectly flat on my burner.
clean-up is a breeze with good old dawn and warm water

I grab this pot for lots of uses. Pasta, soup, casseroles, and rice dishes. Nice size for family use, cleans up like a charm and heats up evenly. I like the sturdy handles that do not get hot and the shiny cover makes me smile in my not so pretty apartment kitchen.
I use silicone utensils to protect the surface, grumbling at my husband when he used a metal pasta fork (the pot survived and so did my marriage). Great price, great value. I noticed a gourmet cooking store selling this (on clearance) for twice the price I paid here at Amazon.

You can really tell that this pan was made in the USA. The finish is far superior to the other Calphalon products I have that where made in China. It also comes in a real Calphalon box,not a white one. That said its a wonderful all around saucier,dutch oven,everthing pot.Goes from the stove to the oven,then is an easy clean up. Its the perfect size to cook pasta.Not to large not to small.Its a pleasure to cook with. And worth much more than what Amazon charges.Get it, you will not be disapointed.Customer Review: C. Saucier

Go to your local kitchen store and see this pan for over $100...now look at the amazon price with free shipping.....beaten hands down online. This pan like my other 8 Amazon Calphalon purchases is why I come back. No problems, does not come warped ( like it does on other sites), sturdy and has withstood home & commercial use. These pans can be used anywhere and with any temp. Looks good on Viking stove or a Whirlpool stove and clean up is a breeze once the pan has cooled off.
