I got a great deal on these, just wish I had ordered more as they are no longer available. It is a great pasta bowl, and really both pieces are quite versatile.

In the Caleca pattern Girasole the colors of the sun and of nature interpret a more intense tone of the Caleca ceramics. Ideal for an impressive presentation for a table dressed in cheerfulness.Girasole means sunflower in Italian, and this dinnerware pattern joyously reflects its namesake. Bold yellow centers, reddish-orange stripes, green leaves and blue bands add up to a very cheerfully set table. Accessorizing the dinnerware is this set of two serving dishes, one a vegetable bowl and the other a platter. The deep bowl holds a generous amount of potatoes, salad, or vegetables, while the platter, which resembles a wide, shallow bowl, is ideal for juicy roasts or curried chicken infusing a bed of rice.
Made in Italy of chip-resistant ceramic, each Caleca piece is hand-painted by skilled artisans with glazes that meet US standards by being free of lead and cadmium.
