Customer Review: Good timer, easy to use

I found it useful and intuitive with basic count up/down functionality. It's light, the magnetic backing seems solid, and the display/buttons are comfortably large. It's kind of loud if you're standing right next to it but I don't mind it since I need to be able to hear from other rooms.
The only downside is that on occasion when I need to set it for longer, like 90 minutes, it's mildly annoying. Holding the "M" minutes button will trigger the automatic counter which is fast, but it painfully increments by one and makes a beep at every number.

I don't know why they aren't marketing this as a timer for pilots, but they should!
You are in a holding pattern, busy as all get out, and you need to time turns.
How many buttons do you have time for?
With this timer, I can stop and start another one minute leg by touching the same button twice.
It just can't be simpler.
Count up, count down, preset times.
It's simple, the numbers are HUGE so make seeing easy (and/or forgetting difficult !)

This is a simple timer and I like it for its minimalism.
Couple of problems.
1. the alarm works only in count down mode, ie you set 3 mins and start and when it reaches 0 it sounds the alarm. if you count up to 3 mins from 0, the alarm does NOT sound.
2. there is no on/off switch
3. there is no clock. it is only a timer.
4. while stuck on the fridge using the magnet, cannot use the buttons. pressing the buttons at the lower edge creates a pivot effect on the unit and the magnet comes off

This timer does not have all the bells and whistles and functions of some, and I've been using it for only a month, but so far it has worked very well for me. It's inexpensive, completely intuitive, and doesn't require reviewing the instructions if you haven't used it in 48 hours. The magnet is also more substantial than it is on some electronic timers; I've broken some simply because I kept knocking them off the refrigerator door. What it does is a little limited, but so far I'd say it's a "5" at what it does do.Customer Review: Excellent Product, Excellent Value

I have owned many timers, and this models features are really the best (yes, SOME manufacturers make similar models at higher cost). Its compact, fairly large display, has multiple stand's (magnetic, hook, easel), very loud alarm and it is simple to operate. Sure, it might be better in some kind of metal front, but its really not a significant issue - after all who really cares if a 1x3inch timer has a thin strip of cheap metal on it to make it look more "kitchen-ey" - I will take the $5+ off the timer please!
