Pros:
* Great big, simple display
* Buttons give good tactile feedback
* Loud enough for me to hear above my TV
* Easy to hold in hand, hang on hook, stand on counter, stick to fridge (magnet)
* Battery included
* Affordable enough to get a couple
Cons: (which are truly trivial to me)
* Only goes up to 99 mins
* No number pad. You have to hold down the button until it gets to the time you want. This is pretty fast though and I got accustomed to it.
* The magnet is on the center of the back while the buttons are on the bottom so if you press it hard while on the fridge it might be a little clumsy (pivot downward).

Perfect for my purposes except that the start button quickly starts to require that you push it just right to start timing.
I use it as a gym timer where I want to count down 1.5 minutes, alarm, and continue to count up past zero. For example, I would push the start button and quickly start a bench press set. Then I would glance at the timer and find out IT HAD NOT STARTED. Now I must start over.
This start button fail happens even when you're thinking about it and trying to push it just right. And it happens on two of these(I bought a second one hoping it would work better because otherwise it's great).

I need a timer not for cooking, but for helping my back. I had a lot of problems with my back, including surgeries, and it is very important for me to get up for a few seconds every 20-30 minutes. I was looking for a simple timer that I can easily set to 20 minutes and reset over and over again.
It works very well! I use it either using a little stand, or the magnet on the little stand, or often by just
stuffing into my pocket. It has been realiable and so far has been doing this 18 hour a day job on the same battery.
The buttons are big and simple to operate, the numbers are large and easy to see. Simple and perfect!

I think this timer is a great buy to help young kids track time. My seven year old has been using it to time himself for 20 minutes of reading. The digits are large enough to be read if the timer is placed on the fridge a few feet away. In the mornings, it helps kids see how many minutes left for the bus to arrive. The buttons are very easy to use. It counts up and down, beeps on completion, has a magnet for hanging and uses a AAA battery that comes with it. I think it is a great tool to help young kids track time when needed. I'll order another one soon. The delivery was very quick. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability yet.Customer Review: Very useful

I use this timer in school, and it is the best one I have found. It is easy to set and reset for the different activities we do in class. Additionally, the display is large enough that students can look up and see how much time they have remaining for an activity. Finally, the alarm on this timer is loud enough that it can actually be heard throughout the room when time is up, even when students are working. I have to say that it is rather durable too, having dropped in a couple times on to the hard lab floor. Overall, it's a great timer if you are looking for ease of use, large display, and loud alarm.
