Customer Review: Not big enough!

My husband and I are really trying very hard to take our own lunches to work - everyday! So I was hoping to be able to upgrade our lunch bags and thought this was great because all of the reviews talked about how large it was and that it could go in a washing machine.
Unfortunately, I returned both of the ones I ordered...they are not "large" or "huge" at all, as others have described them. This thing barely held my salad container! Granted, when we pack our lunches, we're serious about it - a salad (more than like 3 bites of lettuce...), small container of dressing, and usually a meat and side dish (e.g. today I packed leftover hamburger patties, rice, and a salad for my husband). This lunch bag would not hold that amount of food, and it's not like I'm putting two hamburger patties in the largest tupperware container we have!
I couldn't even get my salad container alone in this bag, granted I make very large salads for myself for lunch...but still! This is not a large lunch bag by any means, it holds just as much as the rectangular ones we've been using. There was not enough stretch/give in the material to even expand to fit everything we need to keep cold for lunch. This would be great if you have a sandwich in a bag and an apple, and that's your only lunch, in which case yes, it would be a big bag. But if you're packing real lunches with sides, salad dressing, and drinks, there's no way it will all fit in this bag.
I can't attest to the cooling properties, as we didn't even use them once.
Also, my husband I'm pretty sure wouldn't have carried this lunch bag even if it had fit everything - he thought I ordered purses. It did look a lot like a purse. Not very manly, even the black ones I ordered.
Overall, it didn't work for us. I have a smaller Built lunch bag I used when I would just carry a sandwich or whatever random granola bar/snack combinations I could find in the pantry and I was very pleased with it. Now though, we both work long hours and have long commutes, so we need something more substantial for lunch and unfortunately, this will not carry it all.
