Customer Review: Functionality and style (cost effective too!)

I purchased this mortar and pestle to grind hot peppers, intending to dedicate it for that purpose, because my wife objected to my putting peppers her electric spice grinder (which is not easy to clean thoroughly, by the way.) However, the highly polished surface of this m/p set makes it easy to clean, with little chance for contamination, so I intend to use it any time I need to crush coarse spices. Of course, if you leave it on the kitchen counter, guests may ask if you're a pharmacist! Stainless-LUX is clearly very commited to customer satisfaction (look at their feedback,) and was very responsive to a problem in shipping. I only wish that approximate volumes (and dimensions in inches) were included with tghe description of their gorgeous products. [EDIT - The manufacturer followed up on my suggestion and added volume to the description.]

Mortar diameter is 4 inches and height is 2.375 inches. Pestle diameter is 1.6 inches and length is 7 inches.
