This is a nice size for table service. I use it with a Peugeot pepper grinder (which is now on sale for a great price, twenty-seven); the base diameter is almost exactly the same for both: Peugeot Fidji 4-3/4-Inch Pepper Mill, Black Matte
It is not sealed, but there is a ridge so that the cover sits fairly well.
I dropped a star because the engineering is nice, but not perfect--there are some weird angles in the cut-out for the spoon on mine.
Beware the third-party seller's price of nine--I saw it at a fantastic local kitchen-store-and-culinary-school for only six, which I suspect is the real list price.
