I live in Philadelphia where the water here is, well, not so great. It has a distinct 'taste' to it. I bought this pitcher after dealing with it for a year and me and my 3 roommates agree that this was one of the best investments we made for the apartment. We drink like fish and this pitcher eliminates the 'taste' from the tap water. What's nice about it is that since it is always in the fridge, we always have cold filtered water. Another benefit is how quickly it filters the water. After maybe 5 minutes after refilling the top with tap water, the pitcher is full again. A downside however is that when the water is being filtered and you try to use the pitcher, the top can come off because of the weight. This has only happened once though. All in all, a nice investment if you want clean tasting drinking water.Customer Review: UGH!

Strike me dead if I ever buy another Brita product. They have the worst product design! Well okay maybe not THE worst, but they are in the running. I just got done mopping up the kitchen counter, again. Lets start at the top. The lid is not secure and cannot be secured. The pour spout runs like a wide mouth waterfall. The filter reservoir is hard to get in and out and the design itself is lacking in a clear way to make sure you have the reservoir in correctly. Not having the reservoir in correctly results in the tragic half gallon dribble glass.
Maybe they should include a towel with each pitcher (They could put their logo on it!) that and the warning to always hold the top on.
Granted this would be funny to see, and maybe it was, the first time.

Easy to use, easy to change the filter.You can store it in the fridge if you like your water cold.
It removes all tastes of chemicals from tap water and leaves you with clean clear drinking water that tastes great.
Good water is great for your insides and gives you clear skin. It prevents hangovers, especially if you use it to substitute for alcohol. It stops you dying from dehydration. It helps you digest your food, and may help lose weight as part of a calorie controlled diet. It has not been categorically proven to cure baldness or erectile dysfunction, but you never know guys! Brita water is so good I won't drink tap water anymore anywhere! I've bought one for myself (I also have the small water bottle by brita) one for my mom in Toronto (for when i visit) and one for my mom in law in New York for when I visit there! It is really great and the fact that I can see the difference in the water and in the color of my teas and coffee is the real clincher. I would reccomend this or any Brita pitcher to everyone. I personally have this model and it is so easy to fill with the flip top. Also the rubber grip makes holding the pitcher comfortable and effortless. It gets a little heavy when it is full but maybe I'm just weak. Since we've bought it I drink so much more water (which is a good thing) and I love the taste.

This definitely makes tap water taste great, my family is drinking more water and we are saving money by not buying bottled water.
A couple of drawbacks are as follows: When full the pitcher is heavy to lift and may not fit well depending on how your refrigerator is made.
The top of the pitcher and filter can fall out when pouring if you try to pour a glass of water when the pitcher is less than half full.
A bit cumbersome if you drink a lot of water to wait for the water to run through the filtered section and if you are a family you have to stay on top of making sure you have water in the pitcher.
As far as taste and quality of water it is excellent.
