We haven't used these filters yet. We ordered them when we ordered our Britta Classic Pitcher (which we like very much). The pitcher came with a filter, which is good for two month's use. If the additional filters are the same, I would think they would be just as good. I love Brita water filters. I had a kidney stone, and even after the stone passed, I still felt the occasional twinge of pain. After doing a little research, I bought a Brita pitcher, since I drink over 2 liters of water a day. After drinking the filtered water for about a month, the twinges disappeared.
You ought to lobby Brita USA to start using the Maxtra filters. They are superior performers compared to the original filters. See www.brita.de for more info.

I LOVE my Brita system, the water tastes so much better with Brita. My water has a chemical odor, and with the Brita system, that disappears. The water tastes so fresh and clean from my Brita pitcher. I really can tell a huge difference between my tap water and my Brita filtered water. I was buying bottled water before, now I can use my Brita pitcher. It is saving me a ton of money. Got a great deal on the three filter pack, and free shipping, Thanks, Brita!
Customer Review: Part of Gold Box Promotion but no Prime Shipping.

This item showed up in my Gold Box and I just happened to need some replacement filters so I decided to buy them. Usually most items that are sold in Gold Box have free shipping or Prime shipping. This item, all of the sudden, did not have prime shipping. Amazon cannot explain as to why this is, as the box is not oversize or hazardous.
As for the Filters themselves, yes they work, but with the extra shipping, $2.99, I don't think it's really worth it.

This is the best price that I have found. These filters are such a great deal on this site and the only complaint I have is not knowing when to change the filter. Didn't the Brita filters use to have a dial that points out when to change to a new filter? I love Brita filters (and the jugs) for the taste (or the lack of it) that it gives my tap water. I use it all the time and when I accidentally drank a glass of unfiltered tap water, I could taste the difference!
