I live in a town where the water tastes terrible....I'm sure its probably heathly with all the bleach they put in but I cannot stand the taste...I have used Brita filters for over a year and they work great...the bad taste is gone and if there is any toxins I'm sure Brita took care of them too..Buying Brita filters is cheaper than buying bottled water...and besides you don't know where that water actually comes from!Customer Review: Good Deal

This was much cheaper compared to the local store. The only problem is that the filter is leaking too much black residue(on the top compartment not where actual filtered water sits), but this is just an aesthetic issue. There is no residue on filtered water and tastes good. I think they shook a lot during shipping thats why it is happening. I did not have such a problem with the filter that came with my pitcher.Customer Review: Quality product at a reasonable price

We have been using the Brita water pitchers for about 8 years now and are very pleased with them. The water quality is equal to or exceeds anything from a bottle. You need to remember to change them every 2 months to keep them working properly. I usually try to stock up on the filters when I find a good price on them. You can get about 50 to 60 gallons from one filter so the cost is just pennies per gallon.Customer Review: Good but not the best

I have used this for years. My girlfriend has a Pur filter, and I drink both every day (we live very close and our tap water is virtually the same). Brita is slightly less expensive, but the Pur, even with their least expensive filter option, tastes quite bit better, and I find that there is invariably a bit of carbon taste in the Brita water (yes I use it properly). Well worth it for a budget solution.Customer Review: filter does not work as good

this filters filter my water but not as good as the original I got in my pitcher. Seems like it uses a different material inside to make the job. My water taste still a little bad after filtering... I will try another kind next time and will not buy this one again. I wish theire was a way to know if it was an imitation of the original filters before buy this. Do not waster your money on this ones...
