I bought a Jack Lalanne's power juicer about 2 months ago from Macy's. It was on sale. It wasn't bad and a very powerful juicer. It was quiet but cleaning it was annoying and I had to use a key to remove/put the blade. After using it about 10 times. I think I twisted the key a little too much, so the plastic part where the blade tightens, broke off and came off getting stuck inside the blade. Thanks to Macy's return policy I returned it with ease. I figured I'll just order my next juicer from Amazon. Came upon this one from all the positive reviews and the reviewers were right on the money. I am so glad I have this one than the Lalanne's. The only downfall and it doesn't bother me that much that this one is much much louder than Jack's. Besides that, it is so much more powerful. I hardly have to push the fruits in and it juices them instantly. It is fun juicing with this bad boy. Cleaning is a breeze, no keys to tighten the blade, it just snaps in and out. Comes with a cleaning brush and takes about 5 minutes of cleaning the Jack took about 10. And another thing that I really like is that it came with a litter of juice container. There is no mess or splashing of the juice like I had with Jack's. I'm loving it.Customer Review: Best Juicer/Extractor I've ever used

Thank you Breville. When the juicing craze started in the 60's I bought a juicer, used it a few times and gave it to Goodwill. Then again in the 80's read about the benefits of juicing and bought another juicer to give it another try. After several weeks and much hassle this juicer too was given to charity. Even in the 90's I bought a Jack LaLane juicer and thought, finally this has got to be a great juicer, well 3 strikes you are out, this one also didn't make it past a month in my overcrowded pantry. Here it is 2010, I have hit 70 and am embarking on a new way to eat and stay fit. I researched juicer/extractors and liked what I read about the Breville JE900 and thought perhaps I'm older and wiser and can make more informed choices. I purchased the Breville from Amazon.com and it was delivered two days ago. I can't say enough good things about this machine. It is powerful, fast, not at all messy and I love the fact that you insert an anti-frother in the cup so the juice is clear and pure, clean up was a breeze and the machine even looks great on my counter, very modern looking. Think I finally found a juicer I can use for the long haul and will recommend it to everyone who asks me.Customer Review: THE BREVILLE JE900 IS A MIRACLE TO ME!!!

i have previously owned a salton juicer and used a waring juicer. while still using the salton product, i did research on this and other juicers for over 1 month. i even considered the newer, more powerful breville model. I AM SO GRATEFUL I DID THE RESEARCH AND CHOSE THE JE900! i now have used the 900 4 times. i do not peal my citrus fruits nor melons. i make a gallon of juice or more each time. i am FINISHED JUICING AND CLEANING ALL PARTS OF THE MACHINE IN LESS TIME than it took to cut and prep my fruits and vegetables before. the motor is more than powerful enough to easily juice anything i have tried thus far. all parts are easy to clean and the machine is very user-friendly as is described in other reviews, right down to that plug AND scrub brush. i don't line the pulp container w/ a bag and it is STILL wonderfully easy to clean due to it's design. this machine IS NOT LOUDER than the ones i have previously used when juicing. i appreciate the recipes added to the manual book and look forward to trying many of them even though i haven't yet. i cannot thank the people at breville enough for an amazing product and i couldn't be happier w/ my JE900 machine.Customer Review: Average Juicer

I am using this machine since 2-3 months and I have found following things in it.
1. This machine extracts Juice by creating small piecies and rotating them at high speed. ( Same way as washer spins the laundry in last cycle). This technique leaves some juice in the juicy fruits. It does average work with carrot, apple, but with oranges and pineapple it don't work well. With oranges it leaves the juice in pulp, juice leaks under the cap too.
2. The juice outlet is not well designed. Its shape is straight and it spreads the juice some times. It would have been better if it was bended like a tap.
3. Cleaning is confined with cap, bowl and blade. You can put the platic bag in the pulp bowl.
4. Construction is strudy, don't move itself, power plug is easy to remove and plugin.
5. Its mouth is big enough to take small whole apples. You need to cut the average size apples to put into it.
I gave it three starts coz it works well with apples, carrots and easy to use.
Tip: Make sure you don't press the fruits hard and let the bow spins at amaximum speed most of the time.

I bought the Breville JE900 juicer a few months ago. It is my first one ever and I am very pleased with it. I bought it because I read many great reviews about it on Amazon. Not only is the price great, so is the quality of the machine, and it is easy to clean up. I would say that it takes me about ten minutes to clean. That's not that much time. It makes a variety of juices. Buy a juicer recipe book (one is included when you purchase the machine but there are many other books on the market that are great in terms of getting juice recipe ideas) and create whatever you want. Anything from orange juice to carrot juice, tropical juices, you name it. I like my juices so much that I don't even have a desire to drink soft drinks (not only do they have tons of sugar, artificial sweeteners, and other toxic additives, they promote bone loss, etc.) anymore. The greatest benefit of this juicer, besides some of the other benefits that I mentioned earlier, is that it juices quick. The only negative about the machine is that it is a little loud but all the positives truly outweigh this minor negative aspect. Buy one, you will be happy with it. I am.
