this is my second purchase of a brevelle product, and i'm more than pleased with it. simple to use, easy to clean. it's great to get the hotter temperatures for stir frying. i cook with propane and could never get my stove wok hot enough. this is a real treat. one problem is getting liquids out of the pan. with a stove-top, you just pick up the wok and tip it. because this has an electric base, it's harder to move around and more time consuming to spoon the liquid out. my only other minor complaint, and was with my other product, is the recipe book doesn't have a lot of recipes and none of them are very appealing. saying that, when you buy this product, either buy a wok cookbook or go on the internet for recipes.Customer Review: More kudos

I purchased this product after reading the reviews and I appreciate the absolutely accurate guidance. This wok is hands-down the best I've had in decades.
I actually like the weight of it. Having once owned a flimsy aluminum version that slid all over the counter as I cooked, the stability of this one makes it safer. It gets hot enough to sear rather than stew things like scallops and shrimp. The non-stick surface allows me to use just enough oil to fry the food, without needing extra to prevent sticking. It cleans up easily.
Successful wok cooking takes a bit of a different technique. But great technique with a sub-standard pan is doomed to fail. This product rewards the effort.

This wok is the best!!! I have tried many different woks from different
manufacturers and they were not even close to the quality of this one. I do a lot of cooking and found that this wok can be used for many ways besides stir frying. I even made soup with it. If you are thinking of getting this, Get It. You wont be disappointed. The pan part of it is super heavy duty and I can tell that the non-stick will never wear down. Using electric woks in the past there always was the problem of one ring at the bottom that the non-stick would wear off. This has a base that the pan sits in and the base distributes even heating. The pan heats up faster than anything I've ever used. You will love this wok.

If you have the slightest desire to try wok cooking and you don't have a gas range, buy this one.
It is worth every penny. Very well designed and thought out. I rarely use a normal fry pan anymore I just keep finding more uses for it besides stir fry. Does a great job for scrambled eggs.
The plug has a finger hole so it is very easy to remove the plug from the wall.
The control pod has a release lever, the base is very easy to remove for cleaning.
Just a great device all around. The "High Sear" setting is VERY HOT does exactly what it is supposed to do!
Even my kids want to try cooking in this. Stop reading and just buy it you will not be disappointed.

I read every review before purchasing this wok - it's every positive comment and even more! The utensil provided did not melt, I found the wok easy to detach and re-attach to the base, I did not scratch the surface using ordinary "teflon" utensils, and this wok gets HOT, much better than the large fry pan I've been using (electric stove)with nice even high heat very quickly. I was tempted to give this a four star rating because there is a slight ding on the rim of the wok, either manufacturing defect or shipping, but it's not on the cook surface, so I don't really care. It's the best electric wok I've ever heard of or seen and I'm looking forward to lots of years of good cooking.
