We use a PUR filter on our tap, which basically does the same thing as this, as such, we do not replace the Breville filter as often as the manufacturer suggests. I hope the Breville filter police do not find out.Customer Review: Filters

I find that these charcoal filters need to be changed quarterly, at the most. Of course, your mileage may vary, based on the quality of your water.
