Customer Review: Very good grinder for the money

My impressions of this grinder are pretty much in line with many of the reviews here, so I'm not going to waste time typing the good things that have already been said about this machine.
I have a Bunn Thermofresh, that dumps water into the coffee basket, as fast as any drip brewer I have ever seen. I would get get a pot of coffee in less than 2 minutes, but it was not without problems, until I bought this machine. I had been using a blade grinder for years, and they work OK if you have a really slow coffee maker. The problem arises when you have a coffee maker like the Bunn Thermofresh, and try to use a blade grinder. With a blade grinder, by the time the beans are thoroughly ground, a lot of the beans have been ground to a fine dust. This fine dust will clog up the filter, and with the Bunn Thermofresh dumping water in to the basket so fast, it will often overflow the basket, making a mess, and you'll also have the fine coffee dust make it into the brewed coffee.
This is no longer a problem when grinding beans with this grinder. The grind is uniform with no coffee ground to a fine powder like with the blade grinders. I have my Breville set at a few clicks finer than the 'Fine' setting, and it works great. All the grounds are contained in the filter with no overflow.... and I have the grinder set for 25 seconds, which grinds enough coffee for a fairly strong pot of coffee.
I would definitely recommend this product, especially to those who are still using a blade grinder. You won't regret this purchase.
The only gripe I have, and the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating, is that when I remove the container of ground coffee, some more ground coffee falls out of the grinding mechanism, and I have some cleanup to do after every use. I suppose if I tapped the machine a bit before removing the container, the little bit of coffee would fall in to the container..... I'm just not sure I want to be doing this for years and years, and cause extra wear and tear on the machine. It's a small problem that I can live with. The great pot of coffee that you get with this grinder, far outweighs a little problem like this.
