Customer Review: NEVER BEFORE SEEN TIP. PLEASE READ
Summary: 5 Stars

Ok, this juicer works great... and right now you can read about 500 different reviews that will say the same thing...

GET READY FOR A GOOD TIP!!

Well, here is what i find works great when getting more out of your leafy vegetables like kale, collard greens, or herbs like cilantro and parsley. (since centrifugal juicers are not particularly good at this.

Feed leafy vegetables or herbs through the chute in a cabbage triple decker sandwich...

So slice a big wedge of the cabbage and stuff hefty chunks of leafy greens and herbs between some folds of the cabbage... you get alot more juice from leafy greens and herbs this way... passing the pulp a seconds time does help a little too. i also clean my mesh screen out in the middle of my juice session for, i think it helps.

p.s. cabbage family is good for cancer.
There you go! never before seen tip that works great!!

other tip for people who are on a budget... i can afford to juice for my whole family everyday because i collect the junk mail and use it for a price match on veggies and fruits at walmart... when i become rich ill go organic and stuff. but for the time being i live in las vegas and not much good produce here. Anyway i really would not like to support walmart at all but sometimes at the great discount i can price match my produce i actually think im hurting walmart. hopefully..

Customer Review: WOW! i am blown away.
Summary: 5 Stars

occasionally at work i have access to a professional, commercial grade juicer and when i am able i make fresh apple, carrot, beet, celery, ginger juice. i love the juice and i enjoy the process of making it. the juicer i have been using is a centrifugal, acme unit. so after doing some research online and comparing the available consumer grade juicers i proposed that my wife buy me the breville 800JEXL for christmas.

i had moderate expectations of the breville since i had only used a commercial machine and that is what i would be comparing it against. the breville blew my mind and far exceeded my expectations. i would say that it is on par, if not better, in terms of performance than the commercial machine. and for $250 it seems almost underpriced! how often can you say that about any appliance? the only drawback that i'm aware of (having only owned it for less than a day) is the less than generous limited one year warranty. that's it.

the machine's construction is the highest grade for a home appliance, it is attractive and well designed. it makes juice fast, with a high yield. it is actually fun to use and it is absolutely, ridiculously, simple and nearly effortless to clean. it is an unbelievable value and a superb piece of equipment.

if it makes it a day passed the warranty i wouldn't be that upset.

i would definitley recommend buying this machine.

Customer Review: this juicer ROCKS!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this juicer after painstaking review of everything out there under $800. I received it last week and am thrilled. I read all of the reviews and took the advice seriously. I fill up a sink full of hot soapy water before juicing and put all the parts in the sink when I'm done. Most of the parts just rinse off. The only part which requires any work at all is the blade and that takes maybe 2 minutes max to get sparkly clean. I put a plastic bag in the waste container and it is done.

I go to the farmers market once a week and prepare (wash and cut) the veggies for the week, so when it is time to juice all I have to do is cut up the apples and fruit which cant be cut in advance.

This thing juices raw beets like they are butter. It is my understanding that many juicers require that you cook beets before juicing. It is amazing.

The only thing I cant figure out is that I get a little splatter sometimes while juicing and I dont know where it is coming from.

The juicer takes up a bit of space when all put together, but it looks great on the counter.

I think I am going to buy a composter, as I am feeling a bit guilty about throwing away all the lovely pulp. I found a great juicing cookbook that has recipes for the pulp, so that helps with some of it.

This is an outstanding product. You will not be sorry if you get this juicer

Customer Review: Been juicing since my birthday !
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband & I are very happy w/this juicer ! I'm the one that does the juicing & we have the drinks. It makes enough for both of us every night. The pitcher fills up & makes enough for 2 tall cups of juice.

Let me start by saying that I've been using this item religiously 5-7 days a week since August 2007.

I don't have a dishwasher but the whole thing probably takes me about 10-12 minutes tops. The thing that takes me the most is cleaning the veggies & placing them in the sink so they're ready to get smooshed into smitherines.

I usually make the same type of juice every nite which includes 1 Beet, 4-6 carrots, 1-2 oranges, small chunk of ginger, 1 cucumber, 1-3 apples, 3-4 celery stems. sometimes i'll add grapes if i can. most usually, everything fits in the 1st try, sometimes, a beet is too fat so i'll have to chop it up b4 i can place it in. or an orange is also too big or an apple. just once in a while. these are small setbacks.

one thing i am sad about is i don't have a dishwasher to clean off my juicer. so every nite i clean it in regular sink. the pitcher has gotten somewhat stained a little from the carrots & beets. but i guess this means that it's being used alot !

this product is for the serious juicer ... not worth spending the $$$ if ur just gonna use it a few times & then put it away.

HAPPY JUICING !!!

Customer Review: One serious juicer!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is mine and my wife's first juicer. We had read that if you're going to be serious about juicing everyday, that you had better not cheap out and get one just because of a low price. So we bit the bullet and got a higher-end one.
When we got this thing out of the box I couldn't believe the size of it, it was like a skyscraper of small appliances. Let me tell you, the first time I turned this machine on, I felt like a was starting a V8 engine, the power is just incredible. I was sticking all kinds of veggies and fruit in there, just stuffing it, not knowing just how efficiently it was going to be. I was astonished how much juice it was able to extract!
My wife and I have been using this machine religiously for the last month and we love it, it's the only appliance that we use every single day. I was skeptical about getting an expensive juicer, but I'm glad we did.
Cleaning is a piece of cake, usually I juice my wife's mix first, then I take out the cutter/filter and clean it out with the included scrubber. I then pop it back in and juice mine, and while I'm drinking mine, she's taking the 7 pieces apart and starts rinsing them off and puts them in the dishwasher.
This is a very easy process compared to what I thought it was going to be like. All in all I can't stop raving about juicing with this to my family. Hope you buy it and enjoy as much as us!
