Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun WK200B AquaExpress Electric Water KettleCustomer Review: Smartly designed Summary: 5 Stars
After the fragile switch on our old electric kettle broke after only four or five months, I purchased this one to replace it. We use it heavily in our office, and it's performing very well. The handle feels comfortable, the switch's position makes sense, and thus far it heats water quickly, pours without dribble, and is durable. A+ purchase decision!
Customer Review: ok for year-and-a-half Summary: 3 Stars
This water kettle did AMAZING the first year-and-a-half. Then, mysteriously started to leak water...but not all the time, just occasionally. We could never figure it out. We gave it to my sister and as far as I know, just followed our guideline to not fill it past a certain point and uses it still.
Electric water kettles rock.
Customer Review: A little loud, but works well Summary: 4 Stars
I haven't had any problems using this product. It does what it says it does. The only thing I would have liked to know ahead of time is that it makes a bit of noise for about 3 to 4 minutes. . .I planned on noise, but perhaps not as loud, and not for as long. My co-worker has one that I never hear, so I wasn't expecting the noise factor.
Customer Review: Started to leak after 3 months Summary: 1 Stars
Looks like I'm not the only one reporting on this problem. Must be a small percentage of the product but the trouble is that it seems to happen after the return policy expires, which also makes it hard to know whether your new kettle is good or has this potential issue.
Beware. A good kettle otherwise, unless you're unlucky, like me.
Customer Review: very functional and fast Summary: 5 Stars
I needed to replace a cheaper electric tea kettle and I wanted one that would work well, I have an Irish mother and if the water isn't boiling hot it isn't tea. I love the style and features heats the water fast, cordless, easy to clean. It won praise from my mother when she came to visit. She told me her sister in Ireland has one.
