Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt

Customer Review: Workhorse
Summary: 5 Stars

This is our first food processor, and we've been using it for about 9 months now. So far, it is working great. We use it to grate and shred cheese with no problems. It chops vegetables well. We have used the dough hook for creating pastry doughs. We have not used the whip or the juicer yet. I do wish that it came with two different size slicers (thin and thick), but I've managed on just the one. Our food processor gets used at least once a week, if not more. Love it.

I hesitate to offer any criticisms, since I haven't used another food processor for comparison purposes and I'm still learning how to use the processor effectively. That being said, I have noticed that it is easy to overfill, and that sometimes the food gets stuck under the blade. However, I still gave this product 5 stars because I feel that these two "complaints" are probably more in the line of user errors.

Customer Review: Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned this product for a few weeks now with several uses and find it to be a great buy. Functionally, it works very well for my needs ... no complaints. The capacity is excellent and the cost a great value. The machine is quiet for a food processor compared to other brands (Cuisinart), and I find the simplicity and effectiveness very well done. You certainly receive a lot of value with this item. I was first apprehensive about this item because I was not familiar with Braun for food appliances and its low cost made me weary about its quality. I don't mind spending the extra money for quality but I do want to make sure I get it. When I started using this item all these concerns went away. Going strong for two months so far. It may not be as "glitzy" as other manufacturers, but it does its job very well. I would certainly be willing to look at other Braun products due to this experience.

Customer Review: Very Happy with this Purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

When my old food processor finally broke down, I considered a number of different models and did a lot of research. The Braun 650 had the most positive reviews, so I went with it, and I have not been disappointed. First of all, it's light weight (my old one weighed so much I avoided using it because I didn't want to lift it), and the bowl and lid fit together very easily. No fiddling around trying to get the parts to lock. I used it first to slice six large onions for onion soup, and it did a fine job. But I figured that onions are easy, so I withheld judgement. Then, this weekend, I needed to chop a pound of dark chocolate for ganache. I broke the large brick into just a couple of pieces, put them into the Braun and in a minute I had perfectly chopped chocolate. It's clearly powerful, and it's been easy to clean. I can definitely recommend this food processor.

Customer Review: Just used it twice
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased this item in Jan and just used it twice, both times for chopping vegetables(cauliflower and onions). It did a fantastic job chopping them and was very easy to use and clean up, but after a couple of days I saw that the stainless steel blade had rust marks on it.I had washed the blade and air dried it, did not put it in the dishwasher. I cannot believe that the steel had rusts after the first 2 days of using it. I'm hoping I can get a replacement from Amazon or Braun for the blade since it is within the 30 day window but I'm shocked that this happened. Anybody else had this issue? Also, the box and the machine both say Braun Multiquik K 650 and not Combimax. I called Duddy to confirm and they said they are both the same machine and it is marketed by different names in different parts. It looks just like the Combimax machine pictures.

Customer Review: The uber processor
Summary: 5 Stars

As others have noted this is a superior processor and makes the competition seem 20 years out of date. I replaced the comparable Kitchen-aid unit after about a year of using it every day which to be fair had worked fine but I was looking for a slightly larger one when I stumbled upon this. I should have known the German designers (I assume though it's not made there of course) at Braun would do a good job and indeed it works more efficiently than I could imagine, chopping vegetables to a fine paste with minimal noise or vibration. Best of all for me is the unit is so light I can easily store it away in a cupboard below so freeing up a lot of counter space. The only minor flaw I can see are the vertical ribs on the plastic jug that serve no purpose other than harboring its contents when emptying it.
