I bought this item just over a month ago, but so far it seems to be working just fine. My 15 month old son is a picky eater and he'll consume more types of food if I blend them into a smoothie. In other words, we use it about 3 times a day and typically I add frozen fruit to the mixture. It processes the fruit into a smooth drink quickly and easily. I'm sure we'll continue using it every day so that I'll eventually have a review of the long-term performance.Customer Review: Loved it when it worked but........

I owned this blender for a little over 2 years and it just broke for the second time. The first time it was still under warranty but now it isn't. Like another reviewer said, the drive train is plastic and that is what causes it to keep breaking. I love that it is big and is glass instead of plastic. I use mine almost everyday so maybe if you only use it infrequently it would be a good blender for you but I certainly wouldn't be buying this one again.Customer Review: Purchase with Caution

I purchased this blender and it worked perfectly on the first try. I attempted to use it again yesterday and smelled burning plastic. It was not blending my strawberry and banana smoothie & I had not even used ice in it. I am not impressed with this product and am afraid to plug it in to see if it starts. I can not afford to have wasted $50 on this blender and also have my home burned down - all because I wanted a protein smoothie!Customer Review: Finally I have a blender that crushes ice and frozen fruit!!!!!!

I got interested in this blender from Consumers Report. Came here to [...] to see the reviews, which were all great, and I see why. I make a lot of smoothies and protein shakes, and found other blenders wouldn't crush the ice or frozen fruit well at all. This blender has not problem doing either. It mixes all the ingredients from top to bottom
I've started using it to mix pancake batter. Too easy, mix and pour!

I am actually pretty upset. this seller sent me a broken piece. When I tried to contact them using the link in the amazon order for contact this vender, the link took me to a completely different vendor for a book order that I had placed. I have been unable to contact them about getting a replacement blade and feel that I have been CHEATED by both the vendor and Amazon for making it impossible for me to do anything about it.
