Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Braun MX2050 PowerMax 525-Watt 58-Ounce Jug BlenderCustomer Review: Braun Blender Summary: 5 Stars
The blender far exceeds my expectations and has performed excellently in all uses I have put to it. I have not made appliance purchases by internet in the past and made this purchase only because every appliance store I searched did not carry this product. I am very satisfied with the prompt delivery and the quality of the packing and intend to make many more appliance purchases from Amazon in the future.
Customer Review: Buy this one! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband and I use the blender every day at breakfast. This is our second Braun - the one before lasted us @ 3 years - the plastic "teeth" on the cutter blade finally broke off from all the use. I love that it's made of glass and not plastic. This blender stands up to crushing ice cubes with no problems. We've also used it to make baby food (purees). For the price, you really can't go wrong.
Customer Review: BRAUN BLENDER, EXCELLENT VALUE! Summary: 4 Stars
Forget those foolish "smoothie makers." All you need is THIS! FYI, the Braun got excellent scores in Consumer Reports, EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE (< $50) and VERY easy to clean. Glass jug doesn't hold odors and is easy to rinse. Blade assembly comes completely off the jug, again easing the cleaning process. A pulse, low med high settings, that's all you need, anything else is just gimmicky!
Customer Review: Good for the price Summary: 3 Stars
I use the blender for smoothies with skim milk and frozen strawberries or bananas. Positives: It grinds the frozen items just fine and the price was low. Negatives: It looks a bit cheap with the baby blue trim and hops across the counter if I put in a few frozen strawberries at a time. In retrospect, I think I would pay more to get a more elegant look and heavier casing, but that's just me!
Customer Review: It does the job Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this blender to replace my old Oster from the 70's which was terrific. I find the glass jar very heavy, and when I turn the knob to the right one click, it makes a funny noise just as it starts blending. Maybe that's normal. I bought this one because it was recommended in Cooks Illustrated magazine.
I am not totally impressed with the Braun, but it does the job.
