My new Braun Coffeemaker is, without doubt, the finest, regardless of price, that I have ever owned. I would have given it 5 stars except the filters only last two months; I'd be happier if Braun would develop a filter cartridge that would only need replacing once a year.
I have owned several other brand coffeemakers in the past, some very good, but they are now sitting in my kitchen cabinet collecting dust, because none of them can compare in quality and ease of use to my Braun. I am extremely satisfied.

I'm disappointed in this coffee maker. Either the water passes thru the coffee too quickly giving a weakened taste (shouldn't happen w/ a milita filter system) or, worse yet, the carafe doesn't activate the 'trip' device and "no" water comes thruunless you stand there and monitor the flow. We've had a number of coffee floods. We love the styling, the grip and the ease of reading the water level...we just don't trust the system...we
have had Braun's in the past but this one's the pits!

My old Braun died and I couldn't find another so I bought the programable Krups. It was so awful that after two weeks I searched the net again and found the updated Braun, everything about the old Braun that was not so good is fixed. Coffee nice and hot, pot not fussy about the grind of the coffee, on/off button can't be pushed by mistake, the basket will sit flush on the counter and it doesn't take up too much room on the counter. I am tired of paying a lot of money for coffee makers with all the bells & whistles and then ending up with mediocre warm coffee, also everyone of these coffee makers have not made it through 1 year. I have always liked Braun products & thought I would go back to the basics. This coffee maker will not disappoint you. It delivers a good, hot pot of coffee FAST. Exactly what I want!! It is very easy to use & clean. I can't say enough good things about this coffee maker.
