Customer Review: Good price, hot coffee

Bought on Amazon on sale $39.99, a good price for such a stylish maker. Also bought Braun GF4 (gold) filter basket which works well with the maker. Makes very hot coffee, probably due to the filter basket, I was using paper filters before. Fast, about 1 cup per minute. Ergonomic handle fits hand comfortably.Only very minor complaints - 1) head of steam comes rolling out when done making coffee 2) when pouring water in several drops always land on the carafe plate making spattering sounds and 3) carafe lid does not stay open by itself when filling with water. All in all very minor.

No bells or whistles just a great coffee maker, best I have owned in years. We were using a Krupps whice I must say did make a good pot of coffee once you learned how to turn off all the bells, but is was very slow. And we live in an area that has a lot of poewer outages and it could not be turned back on, hence we were left with many a pot of cold coffee. This Braun makes a great pot of coffee and its fast, yes you have to turn in off and on all by yourself but we don't have any more pots of cold coffee. We love it just wish it made 12 or 14 cups.Customer Review: Nice coffee machine!

This machine makes nice coffee. The basket is easy to fill as it isn't tippy as are many others. The sight gauge/level on the side is easy to see, making filling with water easy. The 10 cup size is more practical and handier than the 12 cup machines I've had in the past. Two criticisms. The on/off swith is too easy to activate by mistake when moving the machine. Second, there is no automatic off feature, so you have to remember to turn it off before you leave the house. This is a glaring deficiency. But, overall, the Braun is a very good value.Customer Review: Dissapointing Braun Performance

Compared to a previous Braun Coffeemaker that we replaced the performance is poor. Thought they listed for the same price ($50), the former model had many features, which we did not use, except one. We had the ability to determine the automatic shutoff time, which is important to us. The new model has only a two hour shutoff. However, after a few weeks, the shutoff failed. The only reason that we replaced the old machine is that the Carafe broke and would have cost over $20 to replace it, so we opted for a new one. Bad choice.Customer Review: SUPER

We were looking for a no nonsense coffee maker that could make a good cup of coffee. After buying and rejecting 2 other brands, this unit has met and exceeded our expectations. The design is both good looking and highly functional. It meets our KISS rule (keep it simple stupid) AND makes an excellent cup of coffee. We later purchased the permanent filter, which we were skeptical about at first - but are delighted with. VERY easy to use as well and is in keeping with our "save the paper, save the planet" green theme.
