Customer Review: It's Your Basic "No Frills... Just Makes Great Coffee" Maker

The Braun KF510 10 Cup Coffee Maker does not offer much in terms of frills. There is no clock function and no auto on function or auto-off function or a beeping sound when the coffee is finished brewing.
What it does offer though is a great tasting cup of coffee. It also offers superior ergonomics. The unit is well designed and comfortable. The carafe opens easily and feels secure in the hand. The water resevoir is wide open so that you do not have to be William Tell pouring the water into the resevoir. There is an outside water level indicator just can case you use a vegetable sprayer to fill the carafe. It has a pop out cone basket for easy access. It also offers a Brita water filtration system which only improves the coffee flavor.
My only complaint - it is only a 10 Cup Maker. One can never have enough coffee so it would have been nice to have the 12 Cup option but alas, I guess that means I'll just have to make another pot!

This coffee maker makes a good pot of coffee if you can catch it in the pot and it doesn't overflow all over the counter top. I've had this coffeemaker about 2 years now and it started out great, a good basic model. Then after about a year I began to have problems.
The drain hole often refuses to open and coffee will then spill over into the top drain holes which allows the grounds and coffee to spill out all over the counter and some in the pot. I have replaced parts, but continue to have the problem.
It is also impossible to get a cup of coffee during the brew cycle. The coffee just continues to drain all over the heating element.
I like that it has a water filter and it is fairly easy to clean, but I am tired of having to watch it brew the coffee to prevent a major mess.
I'm looking for a new coffee maker!

We just got this coffee maker after breaking the carafe on our old Braun. My husband didn't want to not have coffee in the morning, so we purchased the Braun from a department store. We should have waited and ordered from Amazon! The water filter and the instruction booklet were missing from the package. The customer service at Braun was very nice and sent us a fast response. We are glad because this is a great coffee maker. We have tried many brands and this coffee maker makes the best coffee. We really like how fast this one brews coffee. We also like the new design with the open handle on the carafe and the pop open coffee filter. We can't rate the water filter, since that was missing from our package. All in all, this is a great coffee maker - great brewed coffee for a reasonable price.Customer Review: Braun KF510

We had an older Braun 12 cup coffee maker that we loved but it gave out after 14 to 15 years of constant coffee making. We had tried several other coffee brands prior to purchasing the Braun and were not satisfied with any of them. Since the old Braun did such a great job, I almost felt obligated to buy another Braun. We wanted something simple since we never used the automatic feature and we already have three clocks in the kitchen so we didn't need another time display. I was a little leery of the Braun KF 510 since it was so inexpensive and someone had mentioned that the carafe drips when pouring the coffee. Not only does the KF 510 brew excellent coffee, keeps the coffee hot and the carafe pours without any drips whatsoever. Bottom-line, KF 510 is one of the best buys for the money.Customer Review: More Affordable Than BUNN...And Better!

We take our coffee very seriously. The right brewing temperature is key for a great cup of coffee. Recently, our Cuisinart coffeemaker, which cost three times as much, bit the dust. I decided to try a BUNN as I had heard so many great things about them. After shelling out a fair amount of money for that and hoping for great things, we were sadly disappointed, since what promised to be HOT coffee was not even close. No more big dollar coffeemakers for us! After reading favorable reviews on Braun, I decided to give this model a try. In one word: "WOW!" Let's see....not only do we have a sleek design, a Brita water purifier included, a super fast brewing time, but we also have HOT coffee (Gee, what a novelty.) You can't beat this coffeemaker!....it's a dandy for this price.
