Customer Review: Gorgeous Dinnerware

I've been looking for square glass plates for some time and finally saw these on Amazon--I purchased the dinner plates, dessert plates, and both the larger and smaller bowls. They are beautifully made . . . clean, clear glass, great style and high quality. I've owned glass dinnerware that I use with my everyday dishes for the past 30 years and found that the glass scratches easily with only one or two uses. Perhaps because this glass is tempered, I've not seen one single scratch yet though I've used them daily since January. They are also very heavy . . . they feel and look substantial on the table. My only complaint . . . each piece has a raised glass number on the back side, which of course, is visible through the glass . . . not like it's a style number, the numbers are sequential, so each dinner plate, for instance, has a different number. Once food is on the surface, the number isn't so noticeable but still . . . why in the world would the manufacturer do this? Other than that, this was a wonderful purchase and I know I'll enjoy these for years to come.
