Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bonnecaze & Cie Absinthe Glass Pontarlier with cutsCustomer Review: Beautiful, sturdy glass. Summary: 5 Stars
I've started getting into the absinthe scene, but until just recently I've been drinking out of plastic cups and using two pencils to hold up my sugar cube. It felt like I wasn't getting the full sensory effect (I suppose it would be like a wine snob drinking with a Taco Bell dinner). So I bought this glass and a spoon not too long ago and I love it. It looks beautiful and feels very hefty, I was hoping it wouldn't be too thin and fragile and it's not. The bulb (I'm not sure what else to call it) at the bottom of the glass is exactly one shot, and the spoon I ordered from the same company fits over the glass perfectly.
Customer Review: Nice Glasses Four Eyes! Summary: 5 Stars
The price may be a little bit steep for a single glass, but other than that minor point, I love these glasses (and where else are you going to find absinthe glasses?) These glasses look great and really add to the whole ritual of drinking absinthe (the spoons made by this company are really nice too). I especially love the one ounce "bulb" at the bottom of the glass which insures a perfectly measured shot every time. These are fairly heavy, thick glasses which is a feature I appreciate - I'd be worried about breaking thin crystalware. Anyway, yeah these are perfect!
Customer Review: Ok but mine had a bubble in it. Summary: 3 Stars
This was a well made glass but mine had a flaw in it, since an air bubble had been trapped in the glass.
