My son is a Peace Corps volunteer in Micronesia. Up to this point in time, he was boiling his coffee grounds to make a cup of coffee. He is very happy with this coffee press, he says that it is an excellent product. And he really likes French pressed coffee, and thinks it makes an incredibly good mug of brew. He likes it also because it is nonbreakable, which is important when you are 2500 SW of Honolulu, and cannot easily replace a broken carafe.Customer Review: Switch to Aeropress

I used the BonJour 3 cup Unbreakable French Press for about a semester. Then, I forgot to clean out the coffee grounds and left them in the mesh for about a week. I tried to clean out the moldy mess that was left, but it was incredibly difficult to get everything out of the mesh.
Then, I bought an Aeropress. It's easy to use, easy to clean and makes a better cup of coffee. You should buy that instead. No, really.

I prefer coffee made in a French Press. My fovorite size is 16 oz (4 cup), but nobody seems to make one these days. Anyway, the pot does exactly what it is supposed to do. Most peoples' disappointments likely result from 3 cup expectations from a 12 oz pot. It's just a little guy. Edit note. Not recommended, plastic basket fell apart soon after original review. Well I am In the military and this is great to have for any field Op or deployment just use your canteen cup to get got Hot water from an engine block or generator and pore into the French Press with you favorit Coffee and Bang now your styling. I recomend to any one Campers, weekend trips, Field ops and Deployments. It fits right in a small day pack and you dont have to worrie about it breaking.

The BonJour Hugo 3-cup is a total of 12oz's it is not a conventional 3cup times 8 oz's. It will barely squeeze out a single 8oz cup of coffee. I was not happy when it arrived and contacted the company to suggest they update their ad to say the press produces 3,four ounce cups and not mislead the public by labeling it 3-cup. (Buyer beware.)I did decide to keep it as it makes a great single cup of loose leaf tea.
