This is a decent unit. For those who don't take the time to read or can't understand what they read the product listing states the scoop included is for a 4 ounce cup(4 x 4 is 16). The usual sold in the US coffeemaker is a 4-6 ounces per cup capacity. Coffee instructions say usually measures are for a 6 ounce cup. A cup is not what you use or the standard liquid 8 ounce cup. Most advertised 10 and 12 cup coffeemakers hold the same total amount in the carafe. The manufacturer calcultaes what will sell. This has been going on since I bought my first coffeemaker 30 years ago. Caveat emptor!

The Eileen coffee maker is equipped with an easy-grip, santoprene-coated, square handle, ensuring safe and convenient handling at all times - even when carrying two coffee makers in one hand. A solid stainless steel frame protects the glass jug from bumps and knocks while being carried to and fro, through revolving doors, and past other hazardous obstacles but does not conceal the appetizing, freshly brewed coffee held inside.
This 4-cup coffee press is so handsome, you'll want to display it front and center on the kitchen counter, not hide it away in a cabinet. Its striking modern lines are a fitting tribute to Eileen Gray, the Irish designer and architect who adopted the cafés and salons of Paris as her home. The elegantly patterned stainless-steel frame is easy on the eyes but also protects the glass jug within, and the squared handle is easy to grip even when the press is full of boiling water. The French press brewing method prevents scorching of the beans, and because there's no filter involved, all of the flavorful oils stay in the drink. Simply measure out one rounded tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee per 4-ounce cup, pour very hot (not boiling) water over it, let the contents brew for at least 4 minutes, then slowly depress the plunger. This particular press even includes a coffee scoop and a timer to make the brewing process easy. --Mary Park
