Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bodum Chambord 4 cup French Press Coffee Maker, 17 oz, ChromeCustomer Review: Bodum French Press Summary: 5 Stars
This is THE brand to use if you use a French press. You will never have any trouble with coffee grounds in your coffee. The press fits perfectly and the screen is fine enough to keep even the smallest grinds from leaking through. Only one caution, 4 cups means 4 small cups of coffee. If you use a mug, its 2 1/2 to 3.
Customer Review: good but with some flaws Summary: 2 Stars
- The press slides easily on smooth surfaces. They should have put some rubber on those steel legs.
- When pulling on the knob it is very easy to lift the glass out of its metal holder. It means you have to hold the glass while pulling.
- The inner filter does not slide easily, especially when moving upwards.
Customer Review: makes flavorful coffee Summary: 5 Stars
Mr Coffee-style percolators are quicker, but the coffee is more flavorful with this. You need to allocate a few extra minutes to really let it steep, though. The press itself is made of nice quality materials. The stainless steel looks great. The glass beaker part is fairly fragile, so be careful washing it.
Customer Review: Great Product Summary: 4 Stars
This coffee maker is not large, that is true. If you want something bigger, find something else. But for making yourself a cup of coffee, it is great. The quality of materials is excellent, and cleaning it is just a matter of rinsing the grounds down the disposal. It cleans well in the dishwasher too.
Customer Review: Bodum Coffee Press Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second Bodum coffee press. The only reason I purchased this one is because I dropped and broke my first one. :( This is a great product. Makes wonderful coffee. It does, however, let some of the very finely ground coffee pass around the filter but I think this is a minor, unavoidable flaw.
