Customer Review: the 4-Cup Coffee Press is only a 2 Cup

Bodum is ripping folks off, i.e. the 3-Cup is only a 1-Cup the 4-Cup is only a 2-Cup and the 8-Cup is only a 4-Cup, in my book that's a rip off!! In the USA if you say "hey it's a 4-Cup Coffee Press" the thing had better be able to hold 4-Cups of hot water not, i.e. 32Oz not 16 1/2Oz A complaint was fild with the Federal Trade Commission, i.e. the Box says 4-Cup Coffee Maker right on it in 3 places.. All over Amazon's sales page.. Last time I checked it was against federal law to say "4 Cup Coffee Maker" if it only holds 2 Cups..Customer Review: Almost perfect coffee press

The coffee press makes the perfect amount of coffee (2 American size cups). The beaker is not fragile - it's basically a chemistry beaker. The coffee plunger screen is a good, tight fit and prevents coffee grounds in the coffee cup. The only fault, if there is a fault, is that the top is made out of chrome-like plastic and not metal. Other than that, we are very satisfied with the product.
FYI, the beaker arrived shattered in the first shipment, but Amazon quickly sent a replacement that arrived in one piece.

This is my first coffee press and I am very pleased with the coffee I can brew with it. It is well worth the price and the quality is very good. Your results will be good as long as you follow the directions and use coarse ground coffee. It is rated as a 4-cup unit with 6 oz. cups, but with the coffee mugs we use here in the midwest it is only a 2 cup unit. So, if you really want a 4 cup unit get the 8 cup press. If you want to try a press for coffee this is an excellent way to begin.Customer Review: Exemplary product

I use this pretty much every morning. It makes the smoothest most palatable cup of coffee that I can imagine. I drink my coffee black, straight out of the pot, so when I say its brew is not acidic. I can taste it! I consider myself a coffee aficionado so feel free to test this. By the way I have the 3 cup version, and this the 4 Cup version, If I'm making coffee for myself, even if I have a guest I use the 4 cup version. The 3 cup sized for me is totally inadequate. I got this to replace an accidentally broken plastic press also by Bodum. The 4 cup size is slightly bigger than the 3-cup size of the previous one I owned and the perfect size for me. The glass slides out of metal frame for easy cleaning; my plastic one was hard to clean around the frame. Glass isn't super thick, but it took a lot to shatter the last one so hopefully it lasts a long time. This is the best way to make a cup of coffee or looseleaf tea.
