Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I went out purchased some tea from Natural health food store some lose leaf jasmine and China Black Tea. I was impressed by how pure this tea tastes with the use of this infuser. It is a whole new ballgame now compared to the bagged teas. There is a richer taste to it don't get hints of the bag in there ,dyes, strings that way either. All Natural tasting. This infuser helps with that What I like bout it is you can drink right outta the mug that comes with it after you steep the tea. IT has the little coaster thing to set the infuser part on. Its a very nice looking set very beautiful looking . I really glad they offered this month on the newsletter cause I been looking for a tea infuser to try loose leaf for quite sometime. As I am one of those who prefers a good tea and with bagged teas you don't get the nice flavors you do with a system like this .I may purchase a couple more to have them I am that impressed with this. I probably wont' be drinking many bagged teas as much no more. I like the idea of this infuser system cause then I can blend up my own blends etc. I will be recommending these to a few of my friends or maybe purchasing them as a gift in the future. I am definitly recommending this to my tea drinking friends tell them its a nice infuser both how it works and cosmetics too.

Customer Review: Pretty, but perhaps too small.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The best thing about this infuser/mug is that's it's pretty. It's very nice to be able to watch the tea brew. The tea also tasted very good, as there's a lot of room (more than other infusers) for the tea to unfurl. It was very simple to use, and easy to clean. The glass gets warm, but definitely not too hot to touch. The slits in the infuser were narrow enough for me- only fine tea dust got through, which I personally have no issue with.

The worst thing about this mug is that it doesn't make much tea, which is a problem if you want more than just a small cup. It's also no good for travel, since the pieces just rest on top of each other rather than snapping on securely. I did try using the infuser with a different (bigger) mug, and it worked okay. The infuser was a bit unstable since it didn't fit the mug perfectly, and of course I lost the wow factor of having a glass mug.

Overall, I'd say that this would be best as a gift for someone who's new to brewing loose tea, since it's easy to use and very pretty. It would also be nice if you just like to enjoy a small cup of tea at home. Someone who likes to drink a lot of tea at a time or who wants to take their tea on the go should look into a more versatile infuser, like a tea ball.

Customer Review: A good gadget if you want one cup of loose tea
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This as a very attractive and functional way to make a single cup of tea, though my own preference is to make several cups of tea at once (hence the 4-star review) using the the Bodum Assam 4-cup tea press.

The infuser has has cup-within-a-cup design, where the inner cup has very small slots at the bottom. You put one cup within the other, put loose tea in the inside cup, and pour water. The tea infuses and then you lift out the inner cup (with the spent tea leaves) and place down the inner cup on the lipped glass top. The outer cup is full of tea. As a nice design feature, the outer cup is double walled so doesn't get too hot.

The glass is very clear and light, and I understand from other reviews quite strong - almost a laboratory quality glass. The pieces rinse easily under the faucet and can be run through the dishwasher, coming out very clean and clear. Since it is all glass, it can also be used to heat tea in a microwave.

This is an ideal product if you want to make one (small) cup of tea at a time -- particularly good perhaps for an office. As mentioned, I prefer more tea at a time, so do recommend the Assam tea press made by the same manufacturer (about the same price too).

Customer Review: excellent insulated tea cup
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is a three piece set: a cup, an infuser/filter, and a lid/saucer. All pieces are made of glass. It is an attractive set.

The cup is particularly good. It looks stylish, and the double wall design works really well. In fact, I was impressed by how effective the insulation was - the outside stays cool enough to hold while the tea stays hot. Also, this design makes the cup very light - not heavy like a standard mug. I found the cup to be useful on its own for many other hot drinks too. Note though that this is a 6 oz cup, which is pretty small.

The infuser/filter works well too, for loose leaf tea. It gives the tea leaves plenty of space to expand while brewing (unlike a tea ball, where the leaves are often packed tightly). Both infuser and cup are clear, so you can see the tea - I like this.

The lid though was a bit of a problem. Unlike the cup, the lid does NOT stay cool to the touch. Actually, if you use it as directed, as a lid while brewing, it gets quite hot! I had trouble removing the lid with bare fingers. It works fine as a saucer for the filter though.

Overall, this is a good set for making a small cup of loose leaf tea for one, and the cup is especially nice.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I am very impressed with this thermal tea infuser. First, there is definitely an improvement in the flavor of the tea when it is brewed and consumed in a glass container. I never quite believed that was true, but this infuser has proved to me that it is not just an old wives tale.

I also like the size of the inner glass infuser. If I am in the mood for a larger cup of tea, it fits nicely into my large mugs and can be removed easily when the brewing is done. In fact, this infuser has made my Bodum 17 ounce tea press a little obsolete. I used to use the press if I wanted a large single mug of tea, but this works just as well, if not better, than the small press (the press has a plastic infuser, rather than glass).

Some of the loose tea I drink is made into "pearls", or small balls of tea wrapped with jasmine or other enhancers. This infuser works much better than my stainless steel tea ball for the blends that are pearls, as it allows the leaves to unfold completely, giving me fuller flavor in my tea.

All in all, I would rate this product 5 stars in terms of quality, ease of cleaning, and, most important, for the wonderful cup of tea it brews. Enjoy!
