Bought this for my daughter for her birthday along with some tea items. The kettle was much larger than I anticipated, probably too large just for her, however, since I usually make tea for her in the morning I have found this to be a fantastic kettle so far. I love that all I need to do is add water and press a button, and a minute later the water is boiling. It turns off automatically, looks great- the on button lights on and off. As far as the sticker, you should know to take any adhesives off before heating any item, that would cause the adhesive to activate and become hard to remove. Mine came off easily. As far as it being unsafe, not aware of any defects etc. Mine has been plugged up for 2 months and no issues.
