Customer Review: love this little beauty

As a tea-loving traveller, I am at a distinct disadvantage in the majority of American hotels. Sure the high-end ones provide a coffee maker and a few tea bags, but who wants tea that tastes like coffee?? Enter the Bodum Bistro mini kettle. I used an earlier version of this Bodum beauty at work for 5+ years and it was still going strong before someone "borrowed" it and never returned it. I am equally pleased with the speed, sturdiness, and petite size of this little kettle.
It churns out 2 large mugs worth of properly boiled hot water for tea/hot cocoa in less than 4 minutes. The base comes off and there is a sturdy medium-length cord. The only downside that I saw was the lid. It can't be removed; it flips to the side to allow you to pour in your water. (I consider it a negative because I have a European-voltage mini kettle in which I can store plastic cups for travel, and I was hoping to do the same with this one, but no dice.)
I can't recommend Bodum's products more highly. I think you will be well pleased with your investment.
