It's about 50% plastic. The filter is plastic, the handle is plastic. I was really shocked at how cheaply this was made. Get the other one for ten more dollars and get a stainless steel press and have the pot be completely glass.Customer Review: Finally!!!

I have several tea presses, but that one is the best so far. Excellent design, craftsmanship and materials makes it a perfect choice. It's easy to clean and it holds the temperature pretty good (for a glass pot, of course).Customer Review: The Love Teapot

I love this little teapot.It is so easy to use that my husband starting making tea for the both of us.We now sit down for a cup of tea and a little quiet time together(without the kids).

I love it. Press it down when brew time is over. If I want iced tea, I'll dump out the leaves and replace the infuser with lid to secure it, and put it in the refrigerator. Works great.
