I received this tea press as a present and I love it. It is easy to clean and easy to see the strength of the tea brewing. In the time it takes to heat the water, you can fill the basket with your favorite loose tea, take your cup and saucer from the cabinet and put some cookies on a plate. And did I say how easy it is to clean? I take my tea leaves and feed my plants with them, then I simply rinse and wash the parts.Customer Review: A perfect teapot

I'm so glad I read all the reviews and purchased this size instead of the 6-cup. It is the perfect size pot for my husband and I. It will hold 3 good size cups of tea (not the little teacup size but a good size coffee mug).
I find it works best if you fill it with the basket in the pot and add the lid after the water is in.
I highly recommend this purchase!

I found that this teapot leaks down the side of the spout when pouring tea. It seems impossible to avoid as I've tried pouring several different ways (fast, slow, with infuser, without infuser, etc). I believe that the curvature of the spout is the Achilles heel of this teapot. I just purchased this teapot and am pleased with it. In particular, it pours very well - you can pour it at a steep angle, and it does not splatter at all. (I have had problems with coffee pots so am cautious of this.) This size is perfect for me - I can get 3 mugs of tea out of it. The one issue may be ktea staying warm. I have several teapots already, but this has become my favorite. The wide opening makes it easy to load in loose leaf tea without spilling any on the counter. The plunger stops the steeping process, which is very convenient. With other teapots you need to lift out the basket after a few minutes, which usually means a hot mess on the counter/sink.
