I had broken my original Bodum French press carafe and for more than 6 months had not gotten around to ordering a replacement. When this one arrived (very quickly I might add) it was so rewarding to once again have a French press and to be reminded that it is indeed the best way to make a cup of coffee and taste the true individual characteristics of the beans.Customer Review: Glass was good

I bought a glass replacement for an existing coffee press I have. Later, when another glass broke I chose to buy a cheaper model (Bodum 1548-01US Brazil 8-Cup (34-Ounce) Coffee Press)that has the same exact glass in it because it was only $2.00 more than a replacement glass. I love my french press and it's so hard to find replacement beakers for it in Albuquerque. So when my last beaker broke I immediately went online to Amazon to get a replacement. I ordered 2 so I wouldn't have to go without my french press. It was so easy and came so quickly. Hope everyone knows that you do not have to replace the entire coffee press when the beaker gets broken. I found this site one of the easier ways to replace. If you are buying this, you've most likely already broken the original beaker that came with your Bodum coffee press. So do yourself a favor and buy 2 and get the free shipping. If you've broken it once, chances are you'll probably break it again. The coffee press is great, and it's less expensive to replace the beaker than buy a whole new setup.
