I purchased this product several months ago as I've suffered most of my adult life w/ allergies. I have my Blueair next to my bed and leave it on almost 24 hrs. a day. The filter is easy to change (approx. every 6 months) & there are multiple speeds so you can control both the flow & the associated noise of the fan. Even on high, the noise is very comfortable; allowing for a good nites sleep. Since I've started using this device, I've noticed a nice decrease in my sinus symptoms (especially during the height of allergy season). The only negative comment that I will make is that there is a blue 'power' light on the front, upper left panel, that is kinda bright and noticeable in a dark room. However, I McGiver'd it by simply putting a bit of electrical tape over it which blocks it out just fine. Even w/ this one point, I would still recommend this product in a heartbeat.

The Blueair 203 is the most compact unit in the Blueair line. Value-added features include quiet operation, low energy use, steel construction and easy maintenance: simply open the side, slide out used filters and drop in replacements every 6 months. Instead of discharging a windy stream of filtered air, the Blueair 203 diffuses air gently through an area six times greater than the average air cleaner of the same class. Operating on its lowest setting, the 203 produces virtually no noticeable draft, while still providing an exceptional air exchange rate. The SurroundAir system achieves peak performance without annoying drafts by drawing in dirty air from the sides and bottom, moving it through a less dense filter media, and releasing clean, filtered air from the sides and top.
