I love this blender! Have wanted to get into the healthy raw foods way of eating for a while now, but could not seem to stick with it. I felt like I was chewing and chewing all day, like a herd animal. Also, I don't particularly like things like kale and mustard greens; all very good for you, but..... Well, now I toss in a fistful (or 2) of leafy greens, a cucumber half, a stalk of celery, an orange, a banana, some frozen fruit, add about 2 cups liquid and set this baby on whole juice.....my blender renders a lovely frozen concoction that is healthy, filling and yummy. Finally, diet food that I LIKE!!! And it makes good soup, too. Have had a very bad summer cold and was not interested in eating. (every cloud...) I put lots of spinach, 2-3 tomatoes, 2 c. hot water, a splash of lemon juice and LOTS of my favorite Mrs. Dash into the blender and presto.....a light, fresh & healthy soup. My husband uses it for milkshakes and in making his tomatillo sauce and the like. We use this blender every day, usually several times a day. Which brings me to clean up- easy peasy! We rinse really well with hot water between uses. At the end of the day, put in some hot water & a drop of dish soap, a couple of pulses and rinse well. I got the "buy all three together" package of blender and 2 books; this is not necessary, but I would recommend. The books are very informative, but the blender does come with a cookbook. If you are looking for raw foods recipes and info, get the books. Finally, besides being healthy & easy, I'm having great fun coming up with smoothie recipes of my own. I've added chocolate soy milk with spinach and bananas....you don't taste the spinach! I've used greek yogurt, tofu, cranberry juice, green tea...the possibilities are endless. ~A definite 5 star item for me.~
