My husband and I just got married and received this cooker as a wedding present. We love Japanese sticky rice (sushi rice). This cooker is great for preparing the rice. I usually come home from work and just put the rice and water in and it comes out perfect everytime. We think this is an excellent cooker and one of our most used wedding present.Customer Review: Find another rice cooker!

Rice cookers are great...that is if you get the right one. After wearing out our first one, we bought this one thinking the non-stick surface would be nice. Bad mistake. It is easy to clean...it just doesn't cook consistently. We've tried various amounts of water and we finally decided to toss this one over the fence and buy a new one.Customer Review: I love this thing!

Sorry others had bad experiences...I bought this about a year ago and have been making rice in it about 3 times per week. Perfect every time, no matter how much water I've used. And a breeze to clean! I only make white rice, tho. I just wish B&D made a smaller model as this thing's a little big for making rice for 1.Customer Review: Works fine

I'm an experienced rice cooker user. The cooking directions are baloney. You MUST wash the rice, drain, then add twice the amount of water as dry rice - 1 cup dry rice to 2 cups water. Let the pot cool completely before removing leftover rice and hand washing. This will extend the nonstick surface.Customer Review: Black and Decker Rice cooker

This cooker was very disapointing. Left unattended for cooking time (45 min.) it spit pasty rice steam all over the counter, toaster and above cupboards which is hard to get off when dry. Did not matter how much water you put in.
