Product makes wonderful rice, much lighter than using the stove. Read problems with these rice cookers boiling over. I have only made upto 2 cups of brown rice, not 3 so I am not sure if making 3 cups would cause the water overflow people seem to have. I used to have one rice cooker from Black & Decker and it worked very well. So I decided to buy another one. This one is so small and besides, it broke down after two months. I smelled something burnt and the light was off, so we unplugged it. It never worked again. Though the price is low, you get what you paid for.Customer Review: Great basic rice cooker

This unit is for 3 cups uncooked rice, which produces 6 cups cooked, rice actually expands to fill capacity. I received this as a present, but plan to upgrade to a more advanced unit. This 6-cup rice cooker is more like 3-cup rice cooker. This could never be more than 5-cup for it is really small! Its says in the manual or box it is a 6-cup, but it says in the manual that only 3 cups will fit. And it is only actually 3 cup of rice! This is my first rice cooker. For the price, you can't beat it. I love the way the rice comes out. I haven't had any of the problems others say they have had. I wonder if the people who had problems with overflow used the measuring cup that came with it. This cooker is perfect for 2 people.
