Customer Review: Very Bad
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this can opener for my Mother that has a slightly usable right hand/arm. The literature says that it can be used by a left handed person. I don't understand this statement as you can see it is a right handed opener. It has three problems I have seen so far;
1- If it stops on the can (the battery dies). You can't open the can opener because it is bound between the cutter and drive wheel. So you have to pry it off.
2- When it has finished cutting, the can lid drops off when the can opener is removed. I know hook it up to the magnet and try again.
3- If you have a minimum usable right hand/arm you can't use it. She could hold the can with her right hand but can't operate the opener with her left.
Three weeks after I got it, I was at her place and opened three cans when it died creating problem one above. Maybe, I am having a early battery problem, in the weeks to come as I use it for her I will be able to determine if it is the battery or charger

Customer Review: Cordless Can Opener with short lifespan
Summary: 2 Stars

My wife and I were happy with the idea of a cordless can opener. Initially the can opener worked fine for me. My wife had difficulty mounting the can opener correctly on the can and would have to resort to the old style hand model out of frustration on several occasions. This can opener is not "wife friendly." I would not recomend buying this can opener for your wife.

After a few months the unit began to run slower and slower. It finally died and would no longer accept a charge even after cleaning the charging contacts.

Pros: Cordless convenience. Sharp blade opens cans easily when unit is fully charged and working. Attractive design.

Cons: Is not well balanced. Can opener needs to be held in hand when opening 15oz cans and smaller. Uses outdated NiCad battery technology. Should have idiot light that monitors charging.

Customer Review: I love this thing!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I received this can opener from my best friend as a wedding gift over two years ago and I will never use any other type of can opener. I like the trendy design and the use of a charger instead of a bulky one piece can-opener. It's convenient because it's portable and you can carry it around the kichen with you while you cook. I love that it works so well that you don't even have to hold on to it while it's operating. It hasn't let me down yet and I've already put more than normal wear and tear on it. Another unique feature is that the lever comes off so that it can be cleaned, so it won't be forever stained by tomato sauce. The only thing that is a little tricky is positioning it on the can correctly, but anybody with half a brain can figure that out. It's never frustrated me. I have amazed guests with my amazing can-opener and now they all want one.

Customer Review: Cool gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I am in heaven! We have a dog that eats part canned food, love Italian food which means opening lots of canned tomatoes, and I bought a manual can opener about every 2 months since all of them stopped cutting after a short time. This opener is not only cordless (big plus, you can use it anywhere without dragging a cord through the kitchen), fast, quiet, and cuts right through the metal like butter. I also like that the attached magnet holds the lid after it is detached from the can. No more cuts on my fingers. Another plus is that you can actually clean the blade and wheel, no nasty food leftovers anymore.

Considering what a good, manual can opener costs, this is a bargain, even if the battery won't last forever as some reviewers mentioned. I will just buy a new one.

Customer Review: Cordless Can Opener for People w/Arthritis
Summary: 5 Stars

My Mom has problems w/arthritis in her hands. She loves to cook, and is often in need of opening a can. Manual can openers are too bulky for her and hurt her to use due to the strength and pressure necessary, etc. Most large electric can openers are too clunky and often require one to hold the can for some time while they work so that the machine doesn't tip over. Under the shelf openers have their own challenges, but with this opener, she simply makes sure it's charged, sets it on top of the can, puts pressure on the arm at the top to make it lock, and then it "walks" around the can. It stops automatically when the job's done. The arm is wide, so it's easy for her to pop it off, too! Works like a dream and a real welcomed appliance for my aged Mom's kitchen!
