Customer Review: Good product, no manual...

I enjoyed this similar steamer over 15 years ago and just assumed it would get better and better over time. It is a good product for its price, but just plan on hand washing it after use. The plastic is very thin and flimsy and the dishwasher would probably break it down like bleach in your laundry. Steams great and allows options for many applications; however, unless you are a great guesser on time for your veggies, rice variation, and seafood, you only get 9 options of steaming times. No Manual comes with this product. I did eventually get this manual by emailing Applica Consumer Service which apparently handles B&D products. They only took 2 weeks (and a reminder email) to get me a simple PDF file which has become essential for our steamer.

After all this, I think it's a very good product once you understand the proper care and obtain all your manual information for expanded use. Steamed veggies really taste so much better and once you start, it's hard to cook any other way for flavor. Happy Steaming.
