My mother and I purchased this particular steamer years ago and used it until it finally died. Then we both got new ones, as we cannot live without it. Extremely easy to use it is the only way i have cooked vegetables for years. It's healthy, because it uses steam; little or no vitamins lost by steaming. Cooks rice to perfection. This is a Great little steamer. For $20.00 you can't go wrong!! Flip a couple of hot dogs in it for 14 minutes and then a couple of buns for one minute and BAM you're on your way out the door!! Real good item, I highly recommend it. Not for use with a big family so much, but for the quick, easy & healthy snack, there ya go!! This is the second one of these that I have purchased. It is a product that I use almost daily and like it very much. It does not have a history of longevity, however, and that is what I found with the first one. I was so surprised that it lasted such a short time with the name Black & Decker on it. I have had this product for over 20 years, the earlier one was just replaced by the new one, I use this product every week, it's good for rice, fish, just about any veggie, I was so glad to see that they still had this product to buy, most good items are gone and you have to sub with something else, kudos to BLACK AND DECKER.Customer Review: best broccoli ever

boiling broccoli always adds a ton of water and makes it super soggy, but this is the best way to cook broccoli (and other things of course...) I would definately recommend this product. The only downfall is that it's pretty big and we have NO couter space, so it makes it difficult to store it and make room for it.
