Customer Review: Instant Hot Water
Summary: 5 Stars

I order these coffee makers like crazy. People laugh at first when they hear that I keep one in my bathroom to get instant hot water to wash my face morning and evening. My bathroom is such a long distance from the water heater that I hate wasting water and spending so much time waiting for hot water. I love this little instant (and cheap) hot water dispenser. The instant water heater they sell to install in your bathroom is very expensive and takes up needed space under the counter. This little jewel is my answer and I just throw it away once it quits working...it lasts for at least 2 years using twice a day.

Customer Review: B&D DCM7 One Cup Coffee Maker
Summary: 4 Stars

This is good product, makes a good cup of coffee in a short period of time and it permits you to make a pretty good size cup (mug) of coffee. Your typical car coffee mug won't fit so you must brew it first into a regular mug then transfer it to your car mug, which is what I do. And, typical of drip coffee makers, the coffee is not really hot so I microwave it for about 15 seconds after it is brewed and it is just right. I fill it with as much water as it will hold, use a #1 filter which I wet, then place a little bit less then the an eighth of a cup of coffee and it comes out close to a Wawa cup of coffee.

Customer Review: Wonderful coffee maker - great buy!
Summary: 5 Stars

This little coffee maker is perfect and I save money on coffee and coffee filters. The built in coffee filter works fine for me. Only once or twice have I found grounds in my coffee, probably because I put too much water in the reservoir. Since I'm the only coffee drinker in my house I used to dump a lot of coffee down the drain - no more! One cup is ready in minutes.

My only disappointment was that my Starbucks mug wouldn't fit in this coffeemaker. Only traditional style mugs fit. The mug is not included with the coffeemaker. I got over it and consider this my best purchase of the year.

Customer Review: Product does not work
Summary: 1 Stars

This one cup coffemaker from Black & Decker did not work properly the
first time, I used it. Instead of waiting until you pushed the button down to turn it on, it just started brewing on its own. So I had to pour in the water, put in the coffee and make sure I had the mug underneath the opening before I plugged it in or the water would come pouring out of it. My mother bought one of these brewers too, and it did the exact same thing mine did. I have had other brands of these one cuppers over the years, and none of them did what this one did. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Customer Review: Useful, but with Problems
Summary: 3 Stars

I have had two of these coffeemakers and have been generally satisfied. However, I have encountered two problems. First, in the water reservoir there is a little plastic piece that is attached over the hole to force the water to drip over the grounds. In my experience this piece wears out after about a year, and the coffeemaker then becomes inoperative. Second, the coffeemaker uses #1 cone filters, which are comparatively difficult to find. Almost all grocery chains seem to carry only the #2 size and above. However, the #1 size is available on Amazon at $15-20 for 12 packs of 40.
